Im Gustav Levin, now I’ll tell you guys my story of how a producer helped me to hop on the train to success in the music world.
Before all this, I was only a kid with my great interest for playing drums.
Now, only some months after seeing that producer, my whole life is changed.
Now, only some months after seeing that producer, my whole life is changed.
First I have to present who I really am and why something could change my life that much.
In the U.S there is a really nice state called California, that’s where I live, I really like my town. There are the beaches with the huges waves where I surf all weekend, the skate park where my friends hang out and much more.
So I pretty much love living here, we really fit in with the culture of surfing/skating and all that.
Also me and my two buddys has a small band called “thebeachboys”, in the band I play the drumms and then we got my mate stan who is guitar player and singer and Randy who is the guitar player. Stan is a really cool guy, we always hang out at the beach and if im going to the skatepark im always bringing Stan with me and about Randy, he’s the most kind and funny guy I know and we really are like brothers some times, since we have known each other in over 8 years.

Anyways…
Back to the the part where I said that my life changed, this was some months ago, even though I remember it as yesterday.
I woke up early that Wednesday, around 6 in the morning, it was quiet and as I went out of bed checking out through the window I could see how the sun almost had risen up at the horisont.
At that time I was not tired at all, and that was really something unusual to me, but that wasn’t so strange since we in our school was about to have a chirstmas concert with some basic chirstmas songs and “the usual”, you know.
We had invited about six to seven hundred people to come and see our show, like parents and neighbours and but mostly studens and friends from other schools. It may see much to a schoolshow but you see my school is really big and just in my class there’s 34 people.
So now in this show we were allowed to play with our bands (if we had one) so of course “Thebeachboys” was playing.

At the day I didn’t know anything about the producer and what he had in mind.
I went to school just as usual, I felt abit awkward about the night’s show, our band had been on some local places where teenagers from our school and other schools hang out. But nothing bigger, nothing like this. So I bet we all where alittle comfortless but we did out best to not show it.

So the day went on and I was now standing backstage with my three friends and it all happened so fast.
We went up on stage, got some applaudes, played our songs, got even more applaudes and people seemed to really like us.

And after this me, Stan and Randy went back to our changing room and took a cola and came down alittle. We where all totally pumped out. It’s really tough being on stage and all around it. You have to be so prepared and do your best. Simply deliver.
Anyways the thing that happened now was for me one of my life’s, this far, biggest changes.
While we where in the room cooling down someone knocked at the door and a tall man in a black costume asked for me, so I followed him utside and there he told me that he was working for a huge company that looks up young talented kids and guide them into the music buissnes.
So he said that he had seen me playing in my band and that he could see my great talent in playing drumms. So, he had a question for me, he wanted to become my produver and to get me into one of the biggest band in America.

When I heard that I was in total chock. Thousands of thughts ran inside my head, what would Stan and Randy say if I left them? What would happen the next?
Well here I am, playing for over ten thousand peoples doing what Im best at, playing drumms!
